The ESOL(English for Speakers of Other Languages Program aims to empower Parkland employees, eager to learn English, with the opportunity to overcome language barriers and build the confidence needed to effectively:

COMMUNICATE, COLLABORATE and CONTRIBUTE to their overall success and that of the organization! 

Workforce Development's goal is to create a supportive learning environment that fosters self confidence, cultural understanding and inclusivity. Through this opportunity, employees bridge communication gaps, enhance teamwork, and contribute to the overall success of our workforce. 

During the program, employees receive in person instruction, and the tools needed to empower them with the skills and confidence needed to thrive in English speaking environments. 

Classes are conveniently offered onsite at Parkland's Moody Outpatient Center twice a year in the Spring and Fall.

The ESOL program, will  help develop English communication skills in the following key areas: 

  • Listening
  • Speaking
  • Writing
  • Reading

Equipped with these skills, employees will be able to communicate more effectively, at work and in their daily lives.  At Parkland, we believe every employee contributes to Parkland's culture and success.
